Richard Gonda debuts with Drivex at Paul Ricard in the European F3 Open
After several quiet weeks Drivex gets back to work in the European F3 Open, to participate in the first round of the Winter Series taking place February 15-16 at Paul Ricard. Drivex will have a new driver in the Dallara F308, the Slovakian Richard Gonda, and both team and driver are aiming to repeat past success achieved in the series. Gonda is a driver who debuted in single-seater racing in 2010 and in recent years he competed in racing series such as Formula Renault Eurocup, NEC and even Formula Two in 2012.
There are four private tests sessions on Friday, and then on Saturday a racing weekend simulation including free practice, qualifying and race.
Miguel ngel de Castro: I want to welcome Richard, and its a pleasure hes going to be with us at Drivex. We think hes a driver with a true potential and everyone is looking forward to this weekend and to start working with him. Im sure our collaboration will give a successful result and to reach our objectives. The most important thing for Richard is to get used to the car and from then on we can keep on.
Richard Gonda: Im really looking forward to test and race during this weekend with Drivex at Paul Ricard. During the winter I havent raced or even tested in formula. I think that it was quite a long time but I was trying hard to compensate it training physical and also in racing simulator so I think to be pretty fit to race again. Ive already driven at this circuit during the WSR race in Formula Renault, but that time was an unlucky event for me because of technical problems. To drive in Formula 3 is something new for me, until now I didnt have opportunity to sit in, so Ill have to learn and understand the behavior of this formula, settings and tires. The cooperation with Drivex can be a good opportunity for me, the race at Paul Ricard will be our first meeting and I believe that we will succeed to show our potential. The most important thing during this weekend for me is definitely to get new experiences with the F3. I hope everything necessary will interplay, like the technics, mechanics, my work with the engineer and all the team and me alone, as well. The weather forecast seems to bring quite good conditions.
