Remembering when… WTCR’s Girolami made Slovakia Ring debut in WTCC

This is Néstor Girolami in action during his first weekend in FIA World Touring Car racing, the Argentine making his WTCC debut at the Slovakia Ring in June 2015.

He qualified his NIKA International Honda Civic WTCC in P18 but immediately showed his promise with a point-scoring finishing in Race 1 in P10. He was P11 in Race 2 and would return to the championship at WTCC Race of Portugal the following month.

Girolami will return to the Slovakia Ring next week (10-12 May) leading the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO following a double win at WTCR Race of Hungary last month.
