Nagy needed time after WTCR heroics
Dániel Nagy needed two days to come to terms with the enormity of his achievement at WTCR Race of Hungary last weekend.
Wildcard entrant Nagy claimed a career-best second in Race 2 at his home round of the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO.
Driving a Hyundai i30 N TCR, he also underlined his potential by scoring points in all three races at the Hungaroring.
He said: "I had to spend a few days to realise what we have done. We were so good from the beginning because of the brilliant team effort, the brilliant team job. A lot of people have helped me to achieve this."
Nagy's M1RA team boss David Bári said: "We knew the work that we put in preparation, we knew the car, all the bolts, because we've worked a lot on this car and during four test days to prepare ourselves for this event.
"The goal was to make the maximum from the situation and try not to make any mistakes, and this is why I'm extremely proud. The team worked extremely well, there were no mistakes, and the driver did everything that was asked of him, and how consistent he was and how good was his race pace."
