Motivation firmly intact after 30 years, says WTCR title contender Muller
Yvan Muller insists his motivation is as strong as it was when he began his illustrious career 31 seasons ago.
The most prolific driver in World Touring Car history will be Lynk & Co-powered when he bids for glory in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO in 2019.
And the legendary Frenchman, one of seven FIA world title winners on the #WTCR2019SUPERGRID, has stated he’s lost none of his hunger following initial winter testing.
“I’m starting my 31st season this year, but I feel as much motivation as in my first season,” said Muller, who turns 50 in August. “It is very simple: I never race for anything other than to win.”
Muller finished runner-up to Gabriele Tarquini by just three points in last season’s title chase, which was decided in a thrilling seven-way showdown in Macau.
WTCR / OSCARO season two begins at WTCR Race of Morocco in Marrakech from 5-7 April.
