Midday Quotes Rally Italia Sardegna, section two
Ott Tänak (4th) said:
"It's been really tricky this morning. After the first couple of stages the cleaning was really bad and I thought we would be about 40 or 50 seconds off the lead at the end of the loop. But in the last two stages we were more competitive and I'm quite happy with where we are.
"There was a lot of loose gravel and the dust made it even more challenging and difficult to maintain a good rhythm. But we kept it clean and delivered a good run. Fourth place from fourth on the road is a good start."
Sébastien Ogier (7th) said:
"We pushed as hard as we could with the grip that we had. We knew that we would lose time, but I hoped it wouldn't be this much. That's the way that it is though and there's nothing more we can do.
"We just need to remain focused on minimising the time loss as much as we can and maintaining a clean run through the remaining stages. There is still a very long way to go, and on an event like this that is especially true."
