McLaren's latest F1 front wing update explained
McLaren has made good progress with its Honda-powered MCL32 Formula 1 car during 2017, phasing in a new front wing over the United States and Mexican Grand Prix weekends.
In this clip from the latest episode from Motorsport TV's weekly show The Flying Lap, Peter Windsor and Craig Scarborough look in detail at the new wing.
"They've added a couple of extra slots to the wing on the inside, and then again on the outboard section," says Scarborough.
He goes on to explain what those slots are there to do, and discusses how front wings could get yet more elaborate in the future.
There's also a discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the concept of McLaren's car.
