Lattelecom to broadcast World RX as part of new TV deal in Latvia

Latvian TV broadcaster Lattelecom will televise the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy live and exclusively on its TV channel, Best4Sport TV.

Lattelecom is the leading provider of information and communications technology services in Latvia and rallycross fans will be able to watch the two hour broadcast each race weekend on their TVs, computers or mobile devices. Lattelecom is also among the supporters of Latvia RX (1-2 October), and will provide modern technology at the venue throughout the event.

"I am very happy that my performance is appreciated by one of the top-tier Latvian companies - Lattelecom," explained Latvian Supercar driver, Reinis Nitiss. "With their support, I will be able to continue what I have started and will do my best to bring many happy moments to all my fans watching from home on Best4Sport TV."

Lattelecom Chairman of the Board, Juris Gulbis, added: "Reinis, with all his hard work and ambition, has already earned a place in the Latvian motorsports hall of fame. We, as Latvians, are proud to have one of the fastest rallycross drivers and the most enthusiastic fans. That is why we are making it possible for the local fans to follow this talented Latvian driver, competing at the top level of rallycross, on Best4Sport TV."

World RX Managing Director for IMG, Paul Bellamy, concluded: "Yesterday we announced that public state broadcaster NRK will televise all 12 World RX rounds live across Norway in 2016 - and today we have news that Latvia will do the same, which is another big boost for rallycross. We've got just over a month until our season-opener in Portugal and will be able to confirm more TV deals in the upcoming weeks."
