Larsson: "Semi-finals is the goal"

Sweden's Robin Larsson arrives at Rosario for the final round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship this weekend as one of two drivers to have won a World RX event in Argentina.

The Audi A1 driver is looking forward to racing on the circuit at which he won twelve months ago, and thinks race starts will be crucial to success this weekend. "I really hope the car works well this weekend and the starts are good. That was the main thing last year that we did really well here. We were first or second on every start, and with the track conditions how they are here the starts are really important. Semi-finals is the goal first of all of course, but to get to the final you need to be on the second row in the semi-finals at least I think. We'll see if we can do something good this year too."

Larsson is confident following his result in Rosario last season, where he won ahead of Mattias Ekstrom and Petter Solberg, but knows the competition is harder than ever.

"Everyone is much faster than last year. We will see, it's always good to come to a track that you've had a good result at before and it's going to be special to race here for the last time in World RX. The result last year gives me good confidence, but I'm also realistic. At every track this year it has been more tough compared to before and most people have experience of this track already. It will be tough but it's always good for the confidence that we've had a good result before. We will see in practice tomorrow; It's going to be a fun weekend."
