Klausz scores after “horrible” ERC3 Junior start

Kristóf Klausz described the start to his first Rally Islas Canarias outing as “horrible”, before going on to score points in eighth place in FIA ERC3 Junior after overcoming a a fuel pump issue.
Partnered with new co-driver Ágnes Farnadi the Hungarian youngster admitted to early struggles behind the wheel of his Pirelli-equipped Peugeot 208 R2.
“The first loop was horrible,” said the Hungarian. “We couldn’t find a good rhythm and we were really slow compared to the others. It was easy to lose time at the start but it started to get better until we had a fuel pump problem on Friday afternoon. We fixed it and on leg two we got close to the fourth place. We learned a lot and have a lot of experiences from this rally and this type of Tarmac.”
