In testing: Spain special

Teams and crews have been clocking up the testing kilometres as the FIA World Rally Championship prepares for its penultimate round of the year at next week's RallyRACC Catalunya - Rally de España (25-28 october).

The only genuine mixed-surface rally on the calendar always presents a significant set-up challenge and, with both the drivers' and manufacturers' titles still up for grabs, nothing is being left to chance.

Dedicated WRC YouTubers captured M-Sport Ford, Hyundai, Toyota and Citroën as they put their respective cars through their paces.

‘Passats de Canto' filmed championship-leader Thierry Neuville's final preparations as he targets a strong performance after two frustrating events in Turkey and Great Britain.

The Belgian's closest championship rival, Sébastien Ogier, was captured by ‘Rally Passion' testing a Fiesta that featured the more aggressive rear aero package that was first seen at July's Neste Rally Finland.

‘Rally Passion' also filmed Ott Tänak testing his Yaris as he aims to put his Dayinsure Wales Rally GB retirement behind him.

The 12th round of the season will also have added spice as both Sébastien Loeb and Ken Block return to WRC action.

Nine-time world champion Loeb will complete his three-event programme with Citroën, while Block will compete in the WRC for the first time since Spain in 2014 in an M-Sport Ford Fiesta.
