Honda WTCR drivers on show in Geneva
Esteban Guerrieri and Tiago Monteiro broke off from their preparations for the inaugural WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO season with an appearance on the Honda stand at the Geneva International Motor Show today.
The Honda-supported drivers were taking part in a number of media functions on the first of two press days at the prestigious event in Switzerland.
"It's my first time here and I'm amazed at just how spectacular the whole place is," said Guerrieri, who will drive a Honda Civic TCR for ALL-INKL.com Münnich Motorsport in 2018. "To be invited to be a part of Honda's activities here is an honour."
Monteiro said: "I always enjoy coming to the Geneva Motor Show, seeing old friends and meeting new people, and Honda always put on a terrific display. Being next to my Civic TCR for the season just makes me even more determined to get back behind the wheel for testing. I can't wait to join up with the Boutsen Ginion Racing team and continue my build-up to the new season."
The PEUGEOT 308TCR and Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR will also be on display at the Palexpo Exhibition Centre event, which is open to the public from 8-18 March.
Meanwhile, the FIA also has a strong presence at the Geneva show with President Jean Todt in attendance to unveil the FIA Formula E Gen2 this morning. Its stand is number 1240 and is located in Hall 1.
