Happy and confident Habaj continues ERC title quest in Latvia
Łukasz Habaj says he’s confident and happy as he bids to hold his FIA European Rally Championship lead on this week’s Rally Liepāja.
Pole Habaj heads the title chase on the back of a maiden win in the Azores and a third-place finish on Rally Islas Canarias earlier this month.
Driving for the Latvia-based Sports Racing Technologies squad, the ŠKODA Fabia R5 driver said: “Being on top of the leaderboard makes me really happy and, to be honest, my confidence is good.
“We know Rally Liepāja quite well, I have been there three times and my performance is usually quite good. It was one of my first rallies with the ŠKODA last year and we were fighting for the podium on the first day. Also the team’s knowledge of the stages will help.”
