Haas in talks with Ferrucci, Maini for F1 development driver deals
Haas is in talks with Santino Ferrucci and Arjun Maini regarding a supporting role with the American outfit during the 2018 Formula 1 season.
American Ferrucci has spent the last two years as the team's development driver, dovetailing his duties with racing commitments in GP3 and subsequently Formula 2.
He made his F2 debut midway through the season in Hungary last year with Trident, ending the season 22nd with four points.
Maini joined the Haas set-up last season, sharing a simulator programme with Ferrucci and attending several F1 races with the team.
He finished ninth in the GP3 championship last season for Jenzer Motorsport, winning one race and securing one other podium.
"Haas F1 Team is currently in discussions with Santino Ferrucci and Arjun Maini about their potential roles in 2018," the outfit told Autosport in a statement.
"Santino has been a part of the team since 2016 and Arjun joined last year.
"The partnership has been beneficial for both drivers and for Haas F1 Team, and while it's something we're looking to continue in 2018, we're not ready to announce anything yet."
