Guerrieri hoping history repeats itself in WTCR

Esteban Guerrieri is hoping for another WTCR / OSCARO Honda high at the Hungaroring from 26-28 April.

Guerrieri was part of a Honda-powered ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport 1-2 in Race 1 at WTCR Race of Hungary last season.

And having taken the first win of this season in Morocco earlier this month, the Argentine is aiming for the top.

“Morocco was fantastic for us as it showed that the hard work we’d put into testing with the Civic Type R TCR was all worth it,” he said. “The car was strong all weekend and we scored some good points. The Hungaroring is a very different kind of circuit with much longer corners that wear the tyres more quickly, but this should suit the Honda very well.

“Last year we had a one-two finish as a team in the first race here and it would be great to repeat this.”

Guerrieri is second in the title table after three races, five points behind leader Thed Björk from Cyan Racing Lynk & Co. He’s a four-time winner in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO.
