Grosset Janin switches Euro RX team

France's Jerome Grosset-Janin has joined Team Knapick for the 2017 FIA European Rallycross Championship.
Grosset-Janin will race a latest-generation Citroen DS3 Supercar, having twice finished second overall in Euro RX - in 2015 and 2016 - driving for the Albatec Racing team. He will be joined in the Knapick squad at international events by rallycross legend and team owner Herve Knapick, who will also drive a DS3.
"I'm really happy and motivated by this new challenge. I know Hervé very well from the years I spent participating in the French Championship, and the values conveyed by his team are very dear to me: work, respect and enjoyment," said Grosset-Janin "My first experiences of working with the team have already given me a lot of encouragement and I would like to congratulate Jerome and Fabien (the team's two engineers) for the quality of their professionalism, attention to detail and the wise choices they've made so far."
Grosset-Janin claimed his maiden Euro RX victory at the Belgium round of the Championship at Mettet in 2015, and will begin his five-round 2017 campaign at the opening round of Euro RX, which joins the first round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship in Barcelona next month (April 1 - 2).
On top of its Euro RX programme, Team Knapick will also fight for the French Rallycross Championship title with sometime Euro RX and World RX entrant, Christophe Jouet.
