From four wheels to two for WTCR racer Monteiro

Tiago Monteiro achieved a long-held ambition today when he visited the Isle of Man TT for the annual motorcycle racing event.

Part of the Boutsen Ginion Racing Honda team in the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO, Monteiro made the most of his visit, getting behind the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R road car for a lap of the daunting 59-kilometre course.

Honda Racing's Lee Johnston - a two-time TT podium-finisher - turned passenger/navigator for Monteiro's run in the Honda Civic Type R, the official course car for this year's Isle of Man TT.

While Monteiro is more used to driving Hondas with four wheels, his first motorised vehicle was a Honda minibike, which he still owns.

Next up on the WTCR OSCARO schedule is WTCR Race of Portugal in Vila Real - Monteiro's home event - from 22-24 June.
