From exams to stage: ERC Junior Cais set for busy week

Erik Cais will go from sitting his school exams to driving his Pirelli-equipped Ford Fiesta R2T in the FIA ERC3 Junior Championship.

Cais, 19, makes his Rally Liepāja debut this week just days after completing his final exams at school in his native Czech Republic.

He said: “From looking at the on-board footage it looks like a very fast so I’m full of expectations just how fast it will be. But it will be quite hectic for me because I will go straight from my final exam at school to the airport – I will change my civil suit for a P1 racing suit!”

Cais, who is co-driven by Jindřiška Žáková, forms part of his national federation-backed ACCR Czech Rally Team.
