Fiesta completes zip wire stunt to showcase new Rally GB stage

A Fiesta rally car has completed a zip wire stunt to showcase a new stage on this year's World Rally Championship Rally GB route in collaboration with event backer Dayinsure.

The '#Skydriver' video stunt features a rally car at Zip World in Llechwedd Slate Caverns, the home for the Slate Mountain stage in that will run twice on the first full day of Britain's WRC round on October 5.

British Rally Championship points leader Matt Edwards drives the car, while last year's Rally GB winner Elfyn Evans makes a cameo appearance in the 90-second film.

The Snowdonia project was financed by Dayinsure.

Founder Dennis Ryan said: "We offer short-term online insurance on almost all kinds of vehicles, but this was one car that we certainly wouldn't be keen to cover.

"On a slightly more serious note, we are entering our third year as title sponsor for the highly-successful Wales Rally GB, and, backing this stunt has given us a brilliant opportunity to make even more people aware of the many benefits provided by the ever-increasing popularity of cost-effective temporary insurance whether cover is needed for an hour or 30 days."
