Falcón happy on ERC return

Emma Falcón said she was “happy” after finishing a record-breaking fifth in class on Rally Islas Canarias.
The ERC Ladies’ Trophy winner from 2018 beat Tamara Molinaro’s previous best result of sixth in ERC1 Junior – the category for young stars in R5 cars – to mark her return to FIA European Rally Championship action.
“We are happy because we are learning and improving with this car all the time,” said the Canary Islander, who was competing in a Escuderia Fuertwagen Motorsport Citroën C3 R5. “It was only my third rally with this car so we need to have more kilometres to have more feeling. But I am happy with result. The car felt better than at the beginning and I hope now we can go to Rally di Roma Capitale.”
Apart from a puncture minor gearbox issue, which Falcón admitted was self-inflicted, she experienced a trouble-free outing.
