Citroën brings on young talent
The Citroën Racing Trophy is bringing on a new generation of young talents throughout Europe. Dutchman Kevin Abbring, Frenchman Mathieu Arzeno and Brit Martin McCormack have already made their mark, and two Italian coming men, Simone Campedelli and Andrea Crugnola, are also two to watch.
The young Italians are fortunate enough to be driving for a professional team as they battle for both the Italian 2-wheel and Junior Championship titles.
They have confirmed their potential with a couple of stunning away-from-home victories in Rumania and the Czech Republic emphasizing a promising start to the season both on tarmac and gravel.
At the wheel of DS3 R3s and C2-R2 MAXs, other young chargers are starting to make a name for themselves. 20-year-old Kevin Demaerschalk drove a brilliant race in the Ypres Rally, and may well be the next Belgian to impress the talent spotters thanks to the Promotion Formula launched by Citroën.
