Björk adds TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy to WTCR China-Ningbo haul

Thed Björk completed a perfect weekend for his YMR team by claiming the TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy at WTCR Race of China-Ningbo following his two race victories in the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO.

The Swede's fastest lap from Race 3 - 1m51.640s - proved to be the best of the weekend. He also set the fastest lap in Race 1 on Saturday, his time of 1m52.317s proving marginally faster than team-mate Yvan Muller's mark during his run to victory in Race 2 on Sunday, the team boss proving just 0.04s slower.

Björk's weekend couldn't have gone much better. He topped both free practice sessions on Friday, then claimed the DHL Pole Position for Race 1 on Saturday and won convincingly.

In the reverse-grid Race 2 on Sunday he scored more points in P7, having already claimed another DHL Pole Position for Race 3. The Swede converted his pole to the race lead in the final encounter of the weekend and was never headed.

Björk is now second in the WTCR OSCARO points standing, just eight behind BRC Racing Team's Gabriele Tarquini who reclaimed the title lead he'd lost in Race 2 to Muller with a second-place finish in Race 3.
