Andrea Dubourg announces Loheac Rx s1600 plans

Former FIA European Rallycross Super1600 Championship event winner Andrea Dubourg will return to the category at his home round of the Euro RX series at Loheac in September, with the Tedak Racing team.

Dubourg won the latest round of the French Rallycross Championship recently, driving the DA Racing Citroen DS3 Supercar he is sharing with brother Jean-Baptiste Duborug in 2016. JB Dubourg raced at the Hockenheim round of World RX and the opening round of Euro RX in Belgium, and is now focusing on the Loheac event, where he finished on the podium last year.

"It will be such a pleasure to enjoy the atmosphere of Euro RX Super1600, especially in Loheac," said Andrea Dubourg, who won the Barcelona round of the championship last year. "I had contact with Tedak Racing in October last year, and tested its Renault Clio at Maggiora in Italy. Unfortunately, we were unable to finalise a program for Euro RX this year, but we are working together for Loheac. I am very honored that a professional team like Tedak Racing has asked me to participate in the French round - the car has great potential."

Both DA Racing and Tedak Racing will run independently for the famous Loheac event. "The approach will not be the same as usual for me. I will not be in the family team, so it will be totally different," continued Dubourg. "I still think about my second place last year at Loheac!"

The FIA European Rallycross Championship for Super1600 is currently led by Denmark's Ulrik Linnemann, one point ahead of Hungary's Krisztian Szabo.
