2017 F1 entry list published, four seats to fill

The FIA has published its provisional entry list for the 2017 Formula 1 World Championship with four seats still to be filled between Mercedes, Manor and Sauber.

There are no major surprises in the entry list, with all previously announced driver changes and arrivals confirmed, including Kevin Magnussen's switch to Haas, Esteban Ocon to Force India and Nico Hulkenberg to Renault.

Still 'TBC' are two seats at Manor, one drive at Sauber and one at Mercedes following the sensational revelation last week that new champion Nico Rosberg will not return to defend his F1 title.

Stoffel Vandoorne and Lance Stroll will make their full-time F1 debuts in 2017, with the McLaren driver picking #2 as his race number and the Williams making a nod towards his age by choosing #18.

Interestingly, the name of Scuderia Toro Rosso's power unit also remains 'TBC'. The Italian team will switch back from Ferrari to Renault power in 2017, but could be chasing a branding deal to mirror that of its Red Bull stablemates, which will once again run its engines as 'TAG Heuer'.
